I put my life on the line in 1941 doing what I thought was expected of me as a citizen, holding to the values that my parents and my country instilled in me. The USO was a haaven for me on a couple of occasions during the next four years.
During that time I got shot at and had a bayonet shoved in me trying to protect the world that you eventually were supposed to grow up in. I don't really need your holier than thou pontificating about my political correctness. When you have dried off a little behind the ears and grown up enough to understand what the word compassion means, then you will perhaps have gained the wisdom by which to judge me. In the meantime do yourself a favor. Stop trying to justify your own guilt by forgiving your own presumption of mine. I have none! I don't need your forgiveness.
