My earliest memories of my Uncle Malc are from when I was around seven yrs old and he appeared out of the blue one bonfire night, I was so chuffed to see him that I missed most of the fireworks!!. He would often visit us like that out of the blue and I always looked forward to these visits. I remember watching Sham grow from a tiny puppy into a huge dog (well he was huge to me then!!!!) It is indicative of the man that all my memories of him are good ones. He was always ready to stop and chat and tell me wondeful stories of the good times he had and the wonderful people he had met.. I remember Malc spending hours trying to learn me how to play the guitar,I am not naturally gifted as he was and my crowning glory was learning Horse With No name!! so as any respectable musician with two left hands and a modicum of rythm I did the decent thing and bought a drum kit. I remember seeing some great bands with malc such as skeleton crew,we sneaked out of my sisters wedding reception to see them. I don`t think she has fully forgiven me for that. I remember going to see my favourite band (Blue Oyster Cult) at the T&C Club in Kentish Town . I remember Malc coming to see my various bands play and he was never critical but always helpful and would let me know where we were going wrong and I was over the moon when he played a song with us once at the Bowling Green. I remember a dog he had called Grace,a rottweiller who had tendency to knock herself out attacking her own shadow.. I have to say I am shocked as to how much i wil really miss him. I went to see him the day before the funeral with My nan (Elsie) who wanted to give him his birthday cards. He looked so peaceful as if he was dreaming,probably roaming in some field with his many friends reunited with Sham running around having a whale of a time. I would like to thank the musicians from the Courts Pub for the truly fitting send off,it did help to see so many people celebrating his life. To know that he had so many good friends has been a great help to all Malcs family and to myself personally it meant a great deal. I would like a copy of both the video and the CD if possible.
