Anglo Don,t know that Dave ever recorded with anyone other than the Campbells in the 60's. He played the Midlands folk circuit mostly and was poplular for his singing and not least of all his eccentricities which became more pronounced towards the end of his life. I believe that over his latter years Dave was an unhappy man who'd never quite got the best return from the obvious talent he had and I think this frustrated him. He became a demon for the drink and I think this was largely responsible for his dearly demise. I sat and drank with him many times and he told great stories. When Dave laughed his face was so broad it was like a chasm opening. I especially remember him singing the Unquiet Grave, Dainty Davy, The Travelling People etc...........What a waste!
