Nolan that was a mistake on my part I had the thing written like it and created the thread just as I was noticing it myself. The reference with Newfie as derogatory term comes from many places but was mainly used that way by the Americans or "Yanks" if you wanna call them that and noone is offended by it. My father grew up near such a base and the turn Newfie was always used as a pudown or was meant to have a belittling effect. It was used in such sentances as "Stupid Newfie" or "look at the stupid neuf, cant even figure out such and such a thing" Anyway some people may like the term but not everyone does so use it accordingly.
