Like Mr. Fielding, I have really good timing when playing guitar, but can't dance for shit. Yes, dancing and foot-tapping are related, but it's not the feet that are the problem. What the Hell am I supposed to do with my hands if there's not a guitar in them? Okay, I know some smart-ass is going to respond, "Put a woman in them, Stupid!". I can do squares and contras and even a passable slow-dance. It's that modern "non-contact" dancing that throws me. Once I get comfortable with what the feet are doing I start worrying about what to do with the hands and then the feet get out of time and I usually trip and bust my ass. I'd rather play for a dance than do one anyday. Cheers, bwl
