Mudcaters different? From what? The first results from the Human Genome Project have been released. You have about 30,000 genes, and no one else differs from you by more than 30 genes. Boost that up to 3% difference and you could be a banana, yeast, or jelly fish. Chimpanzies have been around a lot longer than humans and have much larger gene variations. Women are born with a fixed number of ova. Males have to generate new sperm all the time, and thus have a bigger chance of mutation. Males have contributed about 2/3 of our evolution and females 1/3. Don't crow too much men, that goes for hereditary diseases as well as for the pluses.
