There's a number of songs to the same meter and tune -- it's a common old sea song, perhaps better known as "We'll Rant and We'll Roar," or something like that. Here's a British version of the chorus: We'll rant and we'll roar, all o'er the wild ocean We'll rant and we'll roar, all o'er the wild seas Until we strike soundings in the Channel of old England From Ushant to Scilly is thirty-five leagues I also know a whaling version with Mexico as the scene, found it on an Euan McColl LP, and the Australian 'Queensland Rover' lyrics also seem to be based on this tune. Check all of these out, as some of the lyrics at least will be similar. Good luck. Jennifer
