reading this thread I am very suprised that no one has mentioned Louis Killens version - like others I am a keen whale and dolphin conservation type of person, and for me Lou's version is the definitive one, his use of a synthetic organ to create whale sounds is truly amazing. For those who have his tape of The Rose in June will know what I mean. For anyone interested this was re released last week on an improved CD with 2 additional tracks.
