I don't think it's possible to generalise. My school was co-ed, but also very strict and insistent on good behaviour - what you describe Kris, would probably have been a hanging offence!
It's maybe tougher on kids who don't have siblings of the opposite sex - my daughter, having a younger brother, is completely indifferent to boys except as annoyances. I expect it will change as she gets older but I'm hoping she will never be glamourised by boys.
Incidentally, it was the Convent school girls in our area who were (allegedly) man-mad, not the co-ed lot!
