I hope that you can bear one more story.
I was in my first month of teaching elementary music. I was teaching my first grade class "Down by the Bay" with the students taking turns at adding punch lines like "did you ever see a whale with a polka dot tail?" After about the twentieth "did you ever see a bear (deer; steer, etc, etc.) in his underwear?" I "banned" the word from my class. Sure enough they showed up the next week with a variety of lines, none mentioning underwear, and I thought that was the end of it.
Wrong. I'm sitting in the teachers lounge at lunch when the first grade teacher leans over the table to tell me how happy the children were to return to music class. Then--once the rest of the teachers are listening--she asked me to explain why one of her students admonished the class "and remember, NO underwear".
Fortunately, she knew that the whole thing was in innocence, but it did not deprive her of any pleasure to see my face blush into seven shades of red.
