Mickey I survived a heart attack in '98 and then waited for 2 years for a Coronary Artery Bypass. I'm now fully recovered from the operation and feeling better then I have done for years. Unlike you I got very classic symptoms severe chest pain into the arm sweating and sickness. Luckily I knew the symptoms as my dad suffered the same when he died and I was able to summon help quickly. Still it's a frightener and I take life more seriously now and I hit 50 in a couple of months which I didn't think I was going to make. Just a final thought for those who think that a heart attack is the end of an active life ........forget it! I'm more physically active now then I was at 30 and I am playing better tennis and badminton then ever. The enforced lay off enabled me to rediscover my music and hence Mudcat. Ain't life grand?
Good luck to you in your recovery and keep smiling. Frank
