For Jerry: As I can't reach the German - English dictionary on the web at the moment, I have to describe what I meant when I wrote tact (in German Takt. A Takt is the part of the music notes between two vertical lines, usually 3 or 4 quarter notes. (Sorry if I do not know the correct English words...).
