No. 5 Agree Mudcat version = "Lord Firedamp", the version that I learnt 30 years ago was "Lord Faringdon" (pronounced Farndon). As the Faringdons were a large Coal Owning familly in the North of England I suspect that this could be the original - not that it matters much, the sentiments are the same, - and mutated as it travelled.
No. 10 - Yes "The Streets of Rochester" would fit for "Lord Marlbrough". As an alternative try (and please excuse my spelling en fracais) "Marlebruk s'vent en guerre"
