Charley Noble, In order to keep our original thread on the subject, I started this new one (I used to be Matthew the Chanteyman). Anyway, who out there in digital land is familiar with the works of Wallace Irwin as published in his book "Nautical Lays for the Landsman". Most notable or well known is "The Chivalrous Shark" whaich has been set to music. I've gotten a lot of mileage out of "The Powerful Eyes of Jeremy Tate" and "Captain Pink of the Peppermint" Does anyone know of any of Mr. Wallace's other poems that have been set to music?
