Thanks, but who was Brannigan and where is Dunbar? One sounds Irish while the other Scottish. Stranlar is also Scottish ( Stranraer - the ferry port?). Glen Fin is suspiciously like Glenn Finn in Donegal, Ireland, but where is the Railway Bridge ?

This song is full of non sequiturs and absurdities. Does anyone know the real story behind it ? Or is it just one more example of Irish/Scottish hyperbole ?
