Mance Lipscomb, Bukka White, Leo Kotke, Lone Cat Fuller, Doc Watson, Richie Havens. Hendrix, Montgomery and Reinhardt are all solid; I haven't played them in a long time, though. Too busy working on the guys in paragraph 1. Jose Feliciano--anybody remember him?? Classical influenced jazzy renditions of Pop Rock stuff. Light My Fire; California Dreamin'. I think some of the folks nominated are excellent musicians who happen to be guitarists, but I'm not sure that makes them superior guitarists per se. I should also, which is totally pointless but fun, say that I admire my friend Glenn Elfman (folk) who is connected with the Pistol River concerts in Oregon, and my very own side-man "Jammin' George" Miller (boogie; rag).
