In defense of self, family, or another human being. In some wars, yes; in others, not if I thought it through. I think some wars, once the US was in them, were pragmatically justified by the situation. Ironically, RVN, where I did my actual service, was not one of them, but at the time I did not think as I do now. If you want to go to extremes and think of situations, I might take the life of a person injured beyond hope and suffering extreme pain. I'd have to be very, very sure the ambulance wasn't just around the corner. CC
