Assembling band at the minute to play songs which have been sidelined (and sneered at!) as being "folk songs" by traditional musicians. To be played by musicians who have the tradition coursing through their veins. (Boys of the Lough meets Bothy Band meets Planxty)
Songs such as "The Wild Colonial Boy", "Rosin The Bow", "Dick Darby, The Cobbler", "The Boston Burglar", "The Homes Of Donegal", "Twenty-One Years", etc.
What do you reckon. Will it work? Can these songs be rehabilitated and adapted to a deep-trad treatment? (Obviously I think so!)
