My first job was working in a branch of The Royal Bank of Scotland. Along with countless other "new starts", I was sent along the road to the nearest branch of the Clydesdale Bank for "a set of scales to balance the books". They used to keep tuning spines for kazoos there as I remember, for the local Bank Union's kazoo, banjo and jaw-harp band.. Now there was an ensemble... SD
