Here's something else for the myth machine. Rumor was (is) he used to pass himself off as a toy maker while living in New Hope, PA. All I know is when he played the now defunct Valley Forge Music Fair, everyone left knowing they got their money's worth. Whatever the myths, the man can play. Shame we only hear him on detergent commercials now. Oh well, just more grist for the myth mill. If you are 'lurking' Leon, we love ya!
