Derrymacash - you are visited!

Hi Hawker, There is a poster about Grimstone festival. it's an all day festival at Grimstone Manor, Horrabridge Nr Tavistock and runs from midday to 11.00pm, with over eight bands, stalls, workshops, food & drink. They jokingly call it Grimstock, as it's open air and everyone sits around on the grass chilling out etc... I think there's just one giant stage in the grounds with a good sound system. Brilliant bands like Praying for the Rain, Hannah and the Madding Crowd and Nigel Shaw and Carolyn Hillier will appear. Ned and I, as Mad Rush kick off the proceedings at 12noon.

We were asked to do it last year, but chickened out, because Trad folk it ain't, but we play in loads of different syles, and I thought, what the hell. If you can insert the odd almost-trad tune in a set, you sometimes pick up a convert to trad music somewhere along the line. Wish us luck! We have to leave Dartmoor Festival, bomb up to Horrabridge, then bomb back after we've done our bit and seen a few bands. That's if we can drag ourselves away. they've got a real community spirit going and are great people.

Tickets £12.50 on the gate or £10 in advance. (Hope to see you four at Dartmoor. The kids keep asking when we're seeing your kids.)

They've got a poster on Flaxey Green, and one on the South West Gig guide, among others.

Have you looked at the Hyde site? Please drop a note in our guestbook and introduce yourself to the hordes who will be passing that way very soon. It's all sociable stuff...
