In Ms. Baez' defence, I think the hit version of that song was recorded live in concert. . . not always the best place to assure a "perfect" performance. I recall her introduction to "Lilly, Rosemary and the Jack of Hearts" where she apologized to the audience, in advance, saying, "this is a long song and if I forget any of the words, I'll just hum,. OK?"
