Hi Mark, The lyrics you referred to are practically identical to a song 'The Squire's Bride' recorded by Alan Burke on 'Tip Of The Tongue' on Gurug records. However it was released in 2000 so it wasn't the recording you remember. I would like to hear the other version, so if you ever find out... It's one of my favourite ever CDs, IMO well worth listening to, but I can't do MiDI things, sorry. On the subject of adding (happy) epilogues, this is one of a minority of folk songs that I know with a happy-ish endings. - but that's a different thread.
