Various places in Central Florida for nearly twenty years. Folks, you wouldn't believe the population growth down here, a friend and I once narrowly dodged a forest fire while out in the boonies, went walkin' through the burned out area while the trees were still smokin'. That area is now suburban for miles around. Places I used to camp are fenced, places I fished are filled with jet skis and power boats. Almost bought a piece of land about twenty miles from the coast, was warned by a well driller they were getting saltwater intrusion, we're sucking that much water out of the ground. Most of the finest places I've seen in this region are now covered with real estate signs. Or luxury golf developements.
