What do you do Guest magjam? Traditional music? Folk Music? or an allrounder that does a bit of this and a bit of that with a selection from the book of "Forty F*****g Fabulus Folk Favourites" and a fiew unfathomable selfpened numbers throwin in?. What makes you more bookable than someone with a bit of reputation and some measure of track record? If organisers haven't heard of you, chances are punters won't have either and in the long run it's the punters dosh that pays your fee. Rule one of any busines is KNOW YOUR MARKET, you don't even know where your market is. Your on the net so at least try one shearch engine or look up The Scotish Folk Directory. At the last count there are some twenty or more clubs and, near enough, thirty festivals. But it's up to you to make the first contact. cheers.
