Last week's edition of Folk Roots/Folk Branches was devoted to songs of hope, contemplation and catharsis in the wake of the terrible tragedies of September 11.

Tomorrow, we'll return to a semblance of normal programming when I'll be joined in the studio by an old friend, Jesse Winchester, for some conversation and songs.

Jesse has been an internationally renowned singer-songwriter and recording artist for more than 30 years. In addition to his own recordings, Jesse's songs, many of which have become classics, are prominent in the repertoires of countless other artists.

Jesse will be with me at about 10 am. Before and after, there'll be lots of other great music.

My next guest will be Guy Clark on October 4.

Folk Roots/Folk Branches is heard from 9 am-noon (Eastern) on CKUT in Montreal and in RealAudio from the Folk Roots/Folk Branches website.
