I once sung a folk version of "Anarchy in the U.K." (a Sex Pistols number) in a folk club in Portsmouth. Nice and slow, crisp clean words, plucking away on the twelve string. It was intended as a joke, yet after the final slow, gentle line of "Get pissed, destroy" I was greeted by wisely nodding heads, a warm round of applause and the statement "An angry, meaningful song from young Paul there". Bless 'em. Paul
