Great thread, and great way to start it off. I hope that the IRA and the groups similar to it, do thier best to police thier own. Meaning this, there are always those that profit from death. I hope that they take steps in condemning and cooperating in bringing anyone that continues to engage in terrorist activities to justice.

I think this is a short term fix, unfortunately. People have long memories when it comes to grudges. Sooner or later nother Bin Ladin or some such will come along. Hopefully we will still have the resolve to quell them quickly, before they can gain true power.

I think the US will have to review it's own actions as well. We do have a number of covert operations that would fall into the catagory of terrorist. Goverment Sponsered assassination being one of the many. I think the rules of war will be changed, but since sept 11, what hasn't?
