I just wish some of you could have been here in Israel today. Tens of thousands of people joined hands in a link to "embrace" our only large body of fresh water- The Sea of Galilee- fast dwindling- Joining hands and linking arms among those thousands were both Jews and Arabs- in various forms of headgear- from "yarmulkes"(Jewish skullcaps) to Muslim scarves. Too many people think that Jews and Arabs are at each other's throats, everywhere, all the time. This is definately not so. In everyday situations such as in shopping malls, small and large towns, hospitals, cinemas, and in almost every walk of life in Israel, Jews and Arabs mingle and mix with each other. Concern for the ecology in this case brought many people together, and it was beautiful to see.
