"Crow On the Cradle" is a nuclear disarmament song composed, if I recall correctly, by Sidney Carter. It was published in Sing Out! and is included in one of the Reprints from Sing Out! volumes.

The Crow on the Cradle was (and is) the spectre of nuclear war. It is indeed a beautiful song, although I haven't sung it or heard it sung in while.
