I am trying to remember a very sad song that I associate with Hot Rize members, but I don't know if I'm right about that. I know that Joan Wernicke played it on the Boulder public radio station KGNU shortly after Charles Sawtelle died, a show dedicated to him. It's a great tear-jerker, something about grieving someone that you won't ever see again. I only remember a snatch of the words: "but it's hard to know someone's gone for good, they're not coming back, like you wish they would" (These may be near-miss lyric, like "sad to know" instead of hard -- "she's not coming back" or "he's" instead of they.) Do you know the title and/or who did it? And what CD it's on? Thanks. (It is at the top of my own list of songs that make you weep.) I tried searching for it under "gone for good" and I got back something about making a bologna sandwich.
