thank you all for your help. personally I agree with mcgrath and sorcha, though I can also understand other viewpoints. I do not think it is self dilusion to sing the non-explicit version, think about ring around the rosy little children sing it all the time not knowing it was originally about the plague,should they stop singingthat as well.
