Some lightning fast piano playing that will blow your mind comes from Art Tatem, a pianiast that, though blind is self taught. Story goes that he taught himself to play a piano roll rendition that required four hands to produce because he didn't realize it was not supposed to be possible for two hands. Fats Waller called him "God." Later Tatem had the ability to replay and improvise on the music of others after only one hearing, probably something that his 'handicap' did for him. I'd look for solo recordings by him rather than band settings, as I suspect a band just slows him down too much.
