Can it be that folks (outside of recording studios) still use reel to reel tape? It took me a couple years to transfer 300+ hours of reel to reel music to casettes and now I hear that the casettes should probably be burned onto CD, not to mention cleaned up at the same time. (Despite her best efforts my wife hasn't managed to get me to remove the big Dokorder reel deck from the living room and I keep a Sony backup in the basement). The family wants the tape deck in the mini van replaced with a CD player. I would like to have both but none of the local shops carry a car stereo with both tape & CD. Meanwhile I keep scrounging the shops and web sites for more vinyl.
