Wow, I'm glad they don't treat people who sing off key that way at The Mermaid! I think I'm actually getting better at staying in the same key all the way through a song, but it may be a strange-ish key like G#. The trouble was, I was intending to sing in F! Fortunately they have guitarists there who can actually play in G#! The MOST welcoming place for musically-challenged singers is Sacred Harp singing. It's part of their culture to accept everybody who tries to sing, whether they can actually sing or not! Marymac
