Anyone know more about a guy called Frederick William Dolch? He's associated with a teaching tool called the "Dolch list", made up of the most common words used in children's storties, which is widely used by teachers and so forth.
But he wasn't just an academic, because he also seems to have produced lots of books of stories, from various parts of the world, such as Hawaii and Native American sources and so on. I think he died in about 1962.
Anyway he sounds like an interesting combination altogether, and I was wondering if anyone could tell me more about him.
