I say the following with all due respect to George Harrison. He was a great musician and a great philanthropist.

I say the following in the hopes that we take a lesson from his death, and with the knowledge that George himself has, in recent years made similar statements after learning that his cancer was caused by his smoking.

SMOKING IS STUPID!

SMOKING WILL KILL YOU!

Smoking killed George Harrison at the age of 58. I am 51 and have lung cancer from smoking. I will probably be dead long before I get to 58.

If you smoke, PLEASE STOP NOW!

I am posting this anonymously because I don't want any sympathy for my condition. I dug my own grave by smoking for more than 30 years. I started smoking in 1967, after smoking=cancer=death was firmly established. I WAS INCREDIBLY STUPID and now I am dying.
