GUEST,Vintage Martin Lyr Req: Tiny Little Fingers (Christmas Song) (7) Lyr Add: TINY LITTLE FINGERS (from Kenny Rogers) 07 Dec 01

Kenny Rogers sings a song "Tiny Little Fingers" on his Christmas album "The Gift."   It's not traditional, but the style could be classified as "folk" as easily as "country" or "pop."  It has a kind of calypso or reggae beat.   Last year I knew all the lyrics, but my tape is in another city right now, and I can remember only part of the verses.

Here's what I remember of the song:

Tiny Little Fingers
See the little baby lyin' in a manger,
Starin' at the strangers who've come so many miles.
They were told to follow the star up in the heavens
And it brought them to the stable of the little baby child.

Could this be the kingdom of the high and mighty?
The light of the promise shines in his eyes.
Should we lay our treasure here by his cradle?
Tell me, are you the savior, pretty little baby child?

Sometimes the greatest of miracles comes from the smallest of things.
We knew as we knelt there beside him, we were lookin' in the eyes of a king

And that his tiny little fingers could bring us together
Forever and ever, pretty little baby child.

Da da da da da
Da da da da da da
Da da da da da da
Da da da da da*
Angels were singin' the Hallelujah chorus
For the savior before us,
Pretty little baby child.

(Repeat bridge and tag.)

Can someone fill me in on the missing lyrics?  (Post them or email them to me at vintagemartin@aol.com.)  Either way, I will appreciate your help.
