Thanks again to all who have replied to my request. I have a book called "An Irish Night Before Christmas", [The author is Wexford-born Sarah Kirwan Blazek] that includes this line on the last page. I would never try to pronounce it w/o having asked. [and besides, I'm from the South -that's southern USA, y'all- and you know how we pronounce things anyway...] Among the other things I cannot pronounce correctly is "An Ghaeilge", and I usually don't write using words that I cannot pronounce; while I do know to say "Gallic" for Scots Gaelic, I would probably just say "Scots". I meant no offense: perhaps I should have just put the line in question as the subject...and I'm glad for the incredible resource the Mudcat is. T
