Husband and I both ended up working the 24th and the 25th. Spent Christmas Eve at my Mom's with the 4 kids and my brother. He and I consumed copious amounts of wine as we stuffed stockings. Christmas morning opened presents. I received a framed picture of my maternal grandparents taken around 1940 (she was 16, he was 20). Came home and went to work the evening shift. One of my patients, an elderly gentleman, had been in the hospital a month, and he said all he wanted for Christmas was a hot shower. So I gave him one, with the works: shampoo, foot rub, etc. His expressions made my Christmas. Love to all. Sharon
