Ian Darby asked about the Dirt Band's rendition of The Battle of New Orleans. This tune--perhaps in the same version he heard on the radio--can be found on both "Greatest Hits" and "Dirt Silver and Gold," each available on CD (I believe). I'm enjoying reading of the impressions that Circle made on people, and I'm grateful to all who wrote. In the 24 hours since my query, I've listened to it a couple of more times (ahh--vacation days) and find that it truly is a wonderful record.
