Quiet evening with the SO--a lovely spaghetti dinner, nice wine, and Moulin Rouge (appropriate for the occassion we thot) on the DVD player. A call from our 17 yr old baby at midnite, when we rushed outside to watch the frosty fireworks from downtown in spirit together with her (she was partying at a downtown hotel with friends).

For me, the last half of 2001 was a lot less difficult than the first half, for which I am deeply grateful, and I look forward to 2002 which is looking pretty good from here for us.
