George Burt/ dgburt@pioneer.net Origins: Twa Corbies / Three Ravens (Child #26) (79* d) RE: Twa corbies on a tree. Words?? 10 Mar 99

I learned a truncated and very Americanized version of this from my father over 50 years ago--or does everyone know this?

There were three crows sat on a tree,
Cried Billy McGee McGaw
There were three crows sat on a tree
Cried Billy McGee McGaw
Oh, there were three crows sat on a tree
And they were black as crows could be
And they all flapped their wings and cried
"Billy McGee McGaw"
And they all flapped their wings and cried
"Billy McGee McGaw".

Anybody wants the tune badly enough, call me at (541) 424-3021
