GUEST,Wotcha R. Crusoe Theme, Folk Roots? (6) R. Crusoe Theme, Folk Roots? 10 Jan 02

Just stumbled across a memory from 1960s UK TV and the theme for "The Adventures of Robinson Crusoe," composed by Robert Mellin and Gian-Piero Reverberi.
The tune has a nice rolling (chantey-like?)rhythm: probably just a waltz though.

Just wondering if anyone has found any folk connections to the melody, or added words to it.
Cheers,
Maybe see ya'll in NYC on 19 Jan...
