One of my colleagues (not a folkie) at OK State Univ is going to NYC in April. He has been before to attend a conference, but had no time on his own. His wife has never been to the Big Apple. It has been 11 years since we've moved from CT ot OK and I've forgotten all but The Rivage (47th or 48th Street, I think). They seek a reasonable hotel for one week, preferrably in Manhattan, and some good, but reasonable places to eat. They DO understand that NYC may be alittle more expensive than Ada, OK. Any advice?
