For rolicking good live Irish folk - Tommy Makem and Liam Clancy (together or alone, both are great). John Prine is a wonderful performer Christy Moore is a whole lot of fun and I heard Shane McGowan (sic?) lead singer of the Pogue's do an accoustical concert which was phenom. Billy Bragg does a great job with Wilco on the album Walt Whitman's Daughter
