Here's the version as sung by the very lively Louie Fuller, who IIRC did go hop-picking in her youth. This was collected in 1967 by Ken Stubbs and is in "The English Folksinger" - Sam Richards & Tish Stubbs

  We only go down hopping to pick a hop or two
