Here's the week I've had (I work as an omsbud for immigrant families):

The suicide of a 14 year old boy who had been emotionally tortured by his schoolmates.

Father supporting his family of six children living here was kidnapped by the security forces in Cameroonm this week, and we haven't been able to find out if he has been killed, or is being held incommunicado in a Douala hell hole.

And then the week ended on an upbeat note when we had a Native American teacher, singer, and storyteller in to entertain and give a talk to our teens at the center. He ended his spiel with an Anishinabe version of the Ray Charles Pepsi commercial.

Call me when you get a clue about the real world.
