If you drive the stretch of I-10 between superdome and french quarter you will pass above some cemeteries that were location for a scene from Easy Rider; the monotonous pile-driver in background of scene was placing the columns for the freeway. A cheap streetcar ride the entire length of St.Charles Ave. gives a pleasant view of some grand homes. When the cars reach the end of the line they don't turn around; all the seat backs flip position via a pivot at floor level so the seats then face the other way!(An ingenious mechanical thing for gearheads to appreciate.)
