My first guitar was a Kay...Bought it from Newberry's 5&dime in So. California. $28.00 in about 1958. Thing was built like a tank, sounded pretty good though. After a few years I converted into a tenor guitar, took all the paint off and tried to make it look as much like a "real" guitar as I could. My next guitar was and still is my Martin NY ladies model...built in 1891. She's a beaut.
